From Rabbit Cage To Strawberrie Nursery
« on: July 17, 2008, 15:31 »
In 2007 I transformed an old rabbit cage into a strawberry nursery by simply drilling a few holes in the bottom and this year it has really paid off. My strawberries are thriving virtually untouched by pests as well as weeds, I also find it much easier to keep on top of weeds that escape the safety net. I have the rabbit cage holding the strawberries standing on a 4 foot fish tank stand. Pictures can be found in my personal gallery and the link is in my signature.

That really is a very good idea!

Thanks! I also find that the cage helps keep pesky birds away from my precious strawberries.

Thank you for your great idea!  I have a rabbit cage taking up space in the shed but it will be put to good use tomorrow.  :D
