All fed and put to bed.
« on: July 15, 2023, 12:18 »
Good morning everybody,
Strawberry plants all fed and put to bed.

Liverpool Hospital yesterday, the memsahib driving through torrential rain and not much better coming home.  Well they have dischaged me - not because all is well with my ocular melanoma, just that they cannot do any more so I'm stuck with being partially blind in my right eye and MGD in both.

Happy days   Cheers,  Tony.

So sorry to read about your eye problems and can only appreciate your eye probs as maine are far less then yours. I have a bit of MD and am now experiencing increasing double vision after my double cataract op a few years ago, so now have to have prisms in my lenses. Trouble is they cost a fortune and have already had one rather expensive change of lenses and now need another.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

So sorry to hear this Tony  :(
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Many thanks for your messages of concern.  The pain in the bum is now I'm working with monocular vision with watery eyes.  Looking down to sow seeds/transplant seedlings and working at my workbench is a bother.  At the review there was talk of PLUGS to go in my tear ducts, hopefully to cut down the flow...

I hope all gardeners with eye problems get the much needed relief from your woes.

Cheers,  Tony

Oh my greatest commiserations Tony, I can only begin to imagine how hard that blow must have fallen on you & how difficult it is to come to terms with, hopefully you get a little respite from the watery eyes soon and you can carry on sowing for a good time longer

There is a rumour that somehow the cancer in my right eye (ocular melanoma) MAY migrate to the liver, goodness knows how! I've had my belly coated with jelly and probed every six months and up to now it has been "Nothing to report".  But now I have to go for an MRI scan as 'they' have seen something...

It never rains but it pours (and there isn't much of that these days).   Cheers,  Tony.
