Mcculloch Mac 4261
« on: June 14, 2021, 07:04 »
Hopefully someone here will know.
I need a carb for a Mac4261 strimmer and cannot find any part numbers or details on the original.
All my normal lines of enquiry have drawn a blank
I think its a walbro but with no numbers visible I cannot be sure.
Got a clue anyone? Part number even?
May the fork be with you

Hello can you get a pic of the carb as there are a few types used on strimmers eg,Walbro Tillotson,Zama  have a very close look with a magnifying glass as numbers can be etched in to the carb or be a series of purple/blue dots,is it a Macallister or a McCulloch strimmer    jezza

Its a MCculloch mate and it came to me with half a Walbro carb fitted.
The previous owner tried to change the primer bulb and managed to loose a goodly lump of it.
I called him a pea nurse.
I think I have tracked down a non genuine (it looks exactly the same. 11mm inlet and 35mm between the bolts  for a 22cc monster. I can only loose £6 50 if it does not fit and it will probably come in handy one day.

Tis a wee little creature indeed.
I tend to gain these things all to often Get them running and flog them pretty rapidly through our allotment shop with the profit going to our associations charity. (Macmillan this year)
The generic carb worked after a bit of swearing and re engineering and the beastie now has a new home.
