£700 and you have to put the pi**ing thing together yourself.

it has now taken 5 of us 3 whole days.

whats with all the black rubber stringy stuff that you have to squeeze on everywhere

and them evil little springy clippy things to keep the poly carbonate in place, keep pinging all over the place and they flipping hurt.

i was expecting 6 big bits to just screw together. and the instructions look like theyve been written by a bloke.

very cold and very sore.... and we know have a 6 x 10 greenhouse that everyone is fed up of looking at

He probably cheated by studying it first before taking it apart. That's what happens when you apply logic

BTW Frankie, are you anywhere near where It's Not Easy Being Green was filmed? I'm curious whether or not the Strawbridges still live there in that horrid old house.

They're quite easy if you follow the instructions.

Just out of curiosity as the instructions seem to be written by a bloke do we take it that the 5 who toook 3 days are all non-blokes

sometimes it takes a little bit of pain to get the pleasure  , just think of the toms and cucs this season.

yes all non blokes. it was me, my mum, my sister, my brother in law and my pops.

it was the stringy rubber stuff that was the worstest.

yeah but you can grow cucs and toms outside. Forget the greenhouse  :D

It is Strawbridge's house. I wouldn't mind a house like that!

In one of my previous lives I was a process analyst/writer and I had to document, step-by-step how to do things so that they could be done by people with no experience of the system in a monkey-see monkey-do fashion.  I also know from experience that instructions for putting together greenhouses are written on little bits of card, put into a drawstring bag, shaken and then tipped out.  Whatever order the cards fall out in is the order they are printed in.   Remember, some of the cards get stuck in the bag so that REALLLLLLY important bit that you need which ties one step to the next is missing and you have to make it up as you go along!

Oh, and those little clips were invented by the devil
