Mustard spinach

Just noticed its a brassica or is it?
 More importantly will it be eaten alive by cabbage whites??
I can't abide netting stuff to much messing about. So anyone any experience. Thanks alot cc

It depends what you have cc.  I find mustard leaves (I grow Giant Red and Green in Snow) don’t get bothered, but anything that looks more like Pak Choi or an oriental green vegetable can get attacked.

Looks like a...not sure. Possibly pak choi? On the other hand i think I grew Pak Choi outside without problem.  I emphasise i think I did. Only one way to find out.

I’ve grown that inside the greenhouse over autumn and winter and outside in pots over spring and summer without netting.

They don’t seem to attract the large cabbage white, but I have had the odd attack by small cabbage whites.  These lay single eggs that hatch into green caterpillars, so less devastating than the large ones that attack cabbages and kale.  I usually see the damage and caterpillar poop before the caterpillar, but once found, they are easily removed.  It is a crop you can take leaves off as and when you need them, so it is not the end of the world if a few bits get eaten.

It bolts sometimes in summer heat, so if I am growing over the warmer months, I put it in a partially shaded place.
