Good morning alancas, sorry to hear about your berevement.
I think we need more information (not 'info')  how much bonemeal, how much water, was the bonemeal very old, what did the plants look like before 'pegging out' leaves curling up or blotches on them?

Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

Cucumbers are notorious for giving up the ghost at the first opportunity, so it can be difficult to know what caused it.

Overwatering and/or low temperatures are often the cause, and under glass they can be weakened by too much direct sun which can scorch and shrivel the leaves.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Truth!
I always sow enough seeds, that I end up with at least twice the number of plants I need - to allow for the inevitable losses  ::)

We always agree on this site, that cucumbers are grown to die as soon as possible...

It really is a pain, and after several failures, I always succumb to a couple of plants from the GC eventually, so you may just have time to do the same, and bite the bullet! I've done this last week for the umpteenth year...

Best of luck - you can easily say that you tried, but then joined the majority crew in the end! There's a medal somewhere!

Actually, a chum next door is having the same problems, and I really do think that an early feed can help, especially if they seem to be in a sulk! I'll ask him how he got on!

Exactly what happened to mine this year.

When I pulled them put they had hardly any root left and the soil was too wet.

Have had to start some more off.
