Title: Fence panel protection - Green Leaf Wood Treatment?

Hi folks,

I need to treat my fence panels but I don't really want to paint or stain them. They look nice as they are, a kind of pale grey neutral colour. Also, we won't be able to reach all the panels due to the plants in front so it would look a bit daft having some painted and others not.

It sounds good, transparent, non-toxic and cheaper than cuprinol etc  :) It may however be a load of old cobblers...

Any other suggestions that would meet my needs?

It looks a bit expensive for a water based treatment. Toolstation do one called fence mate for about £10, I have had no problems with using it.

Hi grinling,

I guess so, but wouldn't I need to do a coat of anti-fungal preservative stuff first as well? The fence panels are the traditional rough overlap style so I reckon it would need a lot of varnish too. I'm certainly no expert though as you can tell  ;)
