Found an hour to get to the plot today in the bright, warm sunshine and planted out my salad plugs into their bed.

Planted out the toms, chillies and aubergines into the beds in the polytunnel. Starting to catch up with all the stuff I couldn't do in April!
Realised I made a massive error using chicken manure pellets in the tunnel, it's going to stink in there for the next few days!

Weeding, infilling gaps between parsnip and carrot seedlings, second succession sowing of purple podded peas, sowed first batch of dwarf French beans and some coriander in pots under cover.

Hubby & I turned compost bin 5 in to a hotbin with luck. We used some salvaged phenolic foam to line the 2 sides & the back then a lid. I then filled it up. It was at 25c as we left. Hubby watered lots & I sorted the chickens.

Lots of weeds removed this weekend, topped up compost bins with grass and corrugated cardboard, sown beetroot, spring onions, swede seeds and some celery seeds i found in the shed (see what happens, not planning a celery harvest). Put pea seeds into pots of compost to get them going.  ;)

Two visits today and very productive. :)
First visit planted cabbage and cauliflower and covered with net tunnels.
Planted sugar snap peas around wigwam, more to plant next time.
Second visit weeded strawberry area again, so much couch grass and marestail  ;)
Raked area level and covered with rabbit manure then planted my marshmello strawberries.
Emptied my builders sack of rabbit manure onto pumpkin bed ready for planting.
Weeded onion bed.

Filled up tubs and planters in GH with compost ready for toms and cukes, untangled micro-irrigation system and laid out ready for holiday next month - (2nd year, hope it still works reliably. )

Runner and French beans, courgettes, squashes, sweetcorn and outdoor cukes moved from kitchen to cold frame to start hardening off (hurrah!)

First gentle earthing up of spuds, moooooore weeding (if dandelions were a more useful food I'd probably just sit back and let the garden do its own thing!)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

No frost on the horizon, past my last frost date and weather warm and settled for the forseeable. So a lot of my tenders are out.  I'm going big on outdoor tomatoes this year.  Courgettes, cucumbers all out.  Issue is keeping everything watered sufficiently at the moment

Planted out the sweetcorn and gave the bed a grass clipping mulch just in case we have another dry summer.

Managed a few hours today in the sunshine.  :)
Dug over and weeded the other half of my potato bed ready for rotovation. This
will be for sowing beetroot, pak choi and turnips.
Planted the rest of my sugar snap peas around 2 more wigwams.
Spread rabbit manure around them.
Planted more strawberries and spread rabbit manure around them.
Weeded around collapsing compost bins. Pulled up nettles and started digging up weeds and cleared some of the rubbish, broken pallet and old weed fabric, covered pile of weeds with black plastic.
Weeded onions.
