I make my own chips by parboiling them for five minutes. Spraying with fry light and then oven baking for about 30 minutes. Scrummy and virtually fat free... :D

Don't mistake home-made oven chips with anything you might buy from the supermarket, made this way using your own grown spuds are far superior flavour wise. You can make a load of these with only a tablespoon of oil, turn the chips over in it a few times til they're well coated and then cook em in a hot oven.  I think they're fab and we have them at least once a week

They're so darned good it would be a shame not to  :)

We have absolutely no chips at home at all......  :( not any more..... :(

OH says: "Very fattening...."

Apparently she knows.... not that I need worry that much... although 30" waist has gone up to 32" over the years.

My parents (89 and 93) on the other hand eat chips once a week... just a few home fried.. so they can't be that bad... Can they?
blimey 30" 32" waste, i have'nt seen them size since i was 18.im happy if i can sqeeze into 36's now and i rarely eat chips. i am partial to odd pint of guinness, maybe thats my problem but hey im happy really.

At 18 yrs my waistline was 28" and, although I love guiness & malt whisky, I rarely drink... At 56 I just keep moving a lot so can eat about as much as I want without worrying too much... just "no chips".... apparently  ;)
