Following my thread in the cooking section about slow cookers, I decided to investigate what my local Trasco had on offer this morning as Ice said the own brand one was pretty good.
They have got the original Crockpot slow cooker 3.5L capacity, with removable stoneware pot, half price at £17.48 in mine.
They are changing the range and getting a new brand in (according to Trasco employee I asked). Worth a look in your local shop if you are considering buying one. I had decided a 6L cooker was just too large for my kitchen so am very pleased with the one I snaffled :D

Good spot :D

Great value. I have a beef casserole simmering in mine at the moment.

Don't you just hate it when you're compelled to buy from them, as with the buy 1 get two free cheese offers? >:(
-
We don't even get the cheese offers in ours. :( Luckily I already have a large slow cooker. :)

How many does 3 1/2 litres serve?
I like the sound of it a lot, but hope is is big enough for three generous helpings
-
Google and fleabay say that 3.5lt is for 4 people, and I would agree.
I've cooked a regular size whole chicken in mine - if that gives you some idea of capacity ;)
-
OOOh thank you
Got to go out to take Mr Sunny to badminton so will have a sneaky look on the way home. The one we have is woefully small so I never use it

A litre of water`s a pint and three quarter so at just over 3/4 of a gallon capacity i would say 4 hungry people. :)

And so I went to get one and found they were gone :(
But they had one of 3.3l for £9.00 reduced (I think for ten but wasn't too sure whether it had been more before that -- the shelf label was obscured by stickers --- so I done gone and bought it :D
and am now looking forward to melt in the mouth slow cooked lots of things this winter :D :D :D

Can't vouch for the new ones but the old line are very good, darn it. Can fit an awful lot of cheese in them.

Ideal for Nickel plating bits and bobs for the old motorcycle. Cheers, Tony.

We got one of the earlier ones for about £12.
It's perfect for veg soup after a long stock-soak overnight!
Mrs G's best recipe is a casserole made from breast of lamb, (dirt cheap), then the rest of the stock makes about 4 servings of soup which you can stand a spoon up in!

Had lamb tagine :) :)
