Title: brown cauli's
Post by: snow white on August 21, 2013, 18:24
All three of my cauli's that reached a head, turned brown, which on looking up means a boron deficiency.  I have three more yet to head.  I have added bfb and chicken pellets to the soil this year, what else can I do to get a harvest?  I watered them with dilute seaweed feed on Sunday as well.  :(

Not all of my caulis are snow white, snow white, but I haven't added any of the fertilizers you mention either.

If boron deficiency is indeed the source of the problem I'm still inclined to stick with my regime of compost dressing, and settle for a colour from off-white to light beige.
