Pork pie or homemade pannetonne ? Did you make one this year, if so how did it go? Just been looking up recipes after we’ve had a slice for breakfast?
I used James Martin's mini Panettone recipe and they were lush, much easier than trying to make the big size, tbh!

Spag bol from the indoor freezer as I'm certainly not going outside to the garage in all the winds and heavy rain.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

More bits and pieces of whatever I can eat (see the food waste thread to see why).  I've planned for this and ticked items off as we got them .  I can't even eat a crisp!  We have some hummus and sour cream dip left and I can manage them  and can suck on  Cheeselets  but anything hard is out of the question.

Rest of the turkey heated up with roosties and fresh veg broccolli carrots and peas and a bit of sausage stuffing plus spoon standing.  :) No pud cheese and biscuits later  :)

I had cold lamb and a plate of salad for tea.
The rest of the lamb is now in the slow-cooker, with more veg, slowly bubbling away...it'll probably end up in the freezer because I really won't fancy eating it for days on end

Hope you're feeling better soon, wighty. That sounds miserable

As the swelling has gone down I've eaten some solid food today, ham and  mushroom pie has been made, with new potatoes and carrots.  All pretty soft, but filling as I am finally feeling hungry.  The Dentist from the 111 service phoned today and we've made another trip to Newport to collect a  prescription for some antibiotics.  The rest of the ham has been portioned and in the freezer and I sat and watched the BFG while peeling carrots, parsnips, sprouts and slicing peppers and their now all in the freezer for future use.  The  smoked mackeral pate I made has been portioned up and in the freezer.  Tomorrow we  will have to eat the rest of the smoked salmon and prawns with some salad  as we obviously can't freeze them. :D

Dental pain is no fun at all, especially this time of year.

I needed to use some eggs up at they were past their use by so I'm still stuffed from scrambled egg at lunch, but I've put some southern style beef rump  (whatever that is) in the slow cooker, it's been hanging around in the freezer since 2021 so about time I used it - I'm sure it will be fine  .

It's now portioned and in the freezer, apart from some left out for tea tonight :)

I had a couple of small packs of caramelised onion cocktail sausages as a freebie from work, so turned them into toad in the hole.  It was different but somehow better than just using normal sized sausages.  Every bite was a mix of the batter pudding and the sausages, rather than one or the other.

That makes no sense, but I know what I mean

We had roasted carrots, some cauliflower and spoon standing with it  :)
