Where do you get the blue plastic water pipe from that everyone uses allotments, i need to make something to cover with netting.
-
i got mine from wickes.but they also do it at screw fix
-
Either wander about looking for people digging up the road and ask nicely for offcuts or go to Jewsons or somewhere - they all keep it : http://www.wickes.co.uk/MDPE-Pipe/invt/425072

I got my 25 metre roll from b+q for £15,its for the slightly narrow stuff 20mm i think, cheaper than the 25mm stuff and does the job perfectly the same :)
-
We haven't got a wickes near me, so i'll try b&q if i go on wednesday i can use my pensioners discount card  :nowink:

What I do is put canes in the ground with plastic bottles over the ends and use that to keep the netting above the plants.
-
I dont use the blue water pipe but lengths of quadrant from this place

only because i can get it or free, but it also takes staples and tack's for fleece, poly and netting

Can anyone post pictures of their homemade cages and covers, as i need some ideas to cover my raised beds and my redcurrant bush.

Thanks. I like the balls and cane pole idea. I did see in Asda that they are doing a bag of them balls for £4.00. The blue pipes look very good, do you just get the netting to sit over them like you would with the balls and canes?
