I only really wanted the glass...
« on: May 26, 2014, 19:09 »
I picked this up today with the intention of pinching the glass to fix my greenhouse, the chap had a few extra panes anyway which I've been able to use and still have enough left to fully re-glass this if I want... Seems a shame not to use it, especially as the rrp for a halls 2x4' is still money but the only walls I have free which are high enough are the patio walls  :(

Anyone got one, if so is it of any practical use or really just too small.

I've got one similar in size though possibly slightly wider. We got it early june last year, and it was great - 4 Tomato plants in there during summer (3 in a standard grow bag, and one just in a flower bucket).

This year, been great as extra space from probably the second week of May for hardening off (and bringing on) Courgettes, Toms, Squashes etc. Haven't had it heated, just had some fleece handy for colder nights.

You mean kill some delicious cucumber plants in there Aunty ?  ::)

make its own back wall from a sheet of plywood?

Even in ali I think it's a little flimsy for that, really needs to be screwed to something to hold it's form - the shed is an option I suppose...
