one of my choocks is bleeding from vent any suggestions while trying to get to vets

Hello dollybird,
someone with more experience will be along soon but in the meantime have you separated her from the others as they will peck at her. Can you see if she has a prolapse?Has she been laying regularly?
I would keep her secluded,warm and quiet until you are given moreadvice.

thank you yes separated straight away was laying every day and is eating ok this morning got dry blood on her but no fresh blood have given her scraps not the pelletts is that ok there is no prolapse  or injury thet i can see she is not as much hunched up in corner this morning hope this is a good sign

did she lay ok yesterday? No broken egg etc?
Had she been pecked in the vent area?
Don't keep her seperated for too long as you may have trouble re-introducing her. As soon as she perks up, spray her vent area with purple spray to hide any redness and get her back with the others but keep a close eye on her just in case of any further problems.
Staffies are softer than you think.

 thank you she is seperated but next to the others where do i get the purple spray from will somewhere like pets at home have it i we had the usual 6 eggs from 6 chickens yesterday and the only out of ordinary thing was 2 days back next doors cat got stuck and made a awful noise till they got her free and thr hens went inside and wouldnt come out for a good few hours could this stress have done something to her

Purple spray (yes it is called that  :lol:) is found on the horsey sections at pet shops  :)

I was in a large 'pets at home' today and they had purple spray as well.
