Poor year for my plums
« on: August 03, 2019, 20:59 »
Glad to read so many others have had a good year with Plums.
Not so myself, I planted a Victoria Plum in time to have about 12 plums in the first year.
This year there were about 4 which I missed and they dropped.
It is planted in a tub 24" diameter I have fed it and kept it watered during the dry periods.
No visual problems, in the bright sun all day

Any suggestions, they seem to be a good cropper

I forgot to mention, I have the same problem with My pear tree also planted in 24" pot nearby.
Only two small pears at the moment planted the same time.
My Apple tree planted nearby has a fantastic crop resulting in smaller apples after a severe pruning last year
