Worms

Hi,
I have 16 chickens,some of their feathers are coming out and their poop is eather watery or dark green.Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I am pretty new with chickens so I don't know much.

Moulting ? one of mine is and her poo's not like it normally is, wait for Aunt Sally, Grannieannie or one of our more experienced poultry keepers they will probably know.

Hi Princess

Have you wormed your chickens yet ? They should be wormed every 3 - 6 months. I recommend flubenvet added to their feed for 7 consecutive days.

Chicken poo is a substance of amazement :shock: Green poo can indicate worms, or a number of other things. So worm them first and see if that improves the situation.

What do you feed them on and what fresh vegetables and grazing do they have ?

No,I haven't wormed them...I feed them laying mash cracked corn and different kinds of produce.They are not free range but I do pick grass for them sometimes.

Regular worming is importaint Princess. I don't know what you mean by "different kinds of produce, but I assume you mean greens, that types do they get ? They seem to have a very good diet. See how they are after they're wormed.

What I mean is I give them fruits and bread.When they are on the flubenvet is it OK to eat their eggs?

Fruits and bread in moderation and only in the afternoons is fine. but they do need greens to be in best health and produce great eggs.

There is no withdrawal time for eggs when you are giving flubenvet as Richy said.
