I to have just bought a Howard bantam with a replacment USA 2 stroke engine on it. But it is all but dead runs but has no get up and go.
have now fitted a Honda unit from my sons 110v genarator (hope he will not notice) and now runs good. Waiting for some dry weather to give it a test drive.
Did you manage to get a manual for your Bantam?

How are you getting on with your rotavating? the Bantam will be good for between crop weeding if we leave/have the space between the rows with it being so narrow.
In the pic of Bigbadfrankie's white Bantam there looks as though there is a lead from the rotavator to Bigbadfrankie's pocket :o  no lead on my Bantam  :? have you got one whats it for is it a dead mans engine cutoff to stop a runnaway?
So many questions so little time till spring.

its the clutch rod you pull it to tighten the drive belt hence engaging the drive to the rotors and wheels
