Replanting summer fruiting raspberry
« on: September 01, 2011, 12:27 »
HI Can anyone help

I bought some polka autumn fruiting rasps in feb and planted them in a row.
However one of them appears to be a summer fruiting one(dont know which variety)
It has grown to about 6ft tall with about 10 canes. wheras the polka is about 3ft
The question is can i dig it up and replant with my tulameen summer rasps without damaging the roots or killing it all together

Thanks carl

I would wait until the autumn, when the canes have lost their leaves.

It can safely be transplanted then. Plenty of water and a good feed it will be as good as new  :D
