Much to my surprise, when I went into my greenhouse yesterday, I noticed three new flowers on one of my cucumber plants. All opened nicely with the start of a new cucumber behind each one...
So the question is: how likely is it that these will develop into cucumbers. It seems very late to me, and I was in fact about to dig the plants out until I saw the flowers! Also, the last 2 or 3 fruit from the plant have been very bitter.... are these likely to be the same, if I do let them grow?

we had 2 lovely Cucinos off ours on Monday, though like you I'm wondering if the half-dozen babies still on will come to anything

Our Marketmore is still full of cucumbers, better late than never!

My 'Patio' Cucumber is going great guns... I've got about 12 small fruits, a couple more flowers and one cucumber thats about 5 inches long that I'm itching to pick :D
It just took off all of a sudden over this last week after I cut a few iffy looking leaves of it!

I think they all just enjoy the extra humidity from autumn nights :)

I wasnt holding out much hope for mine ... it was a weedy looking lil plant I bought in the reduced section of Wilkos for a quid and I thought I'd rescue it

well, the three flowers are now fruit and seem to be filling out nicely :) It remains to be seen if they are as bitter as the last two, of course...

two of the fruit shrivelled and fell off, but one grew into a small cucumber, and this weekend we ate it, and it was delicious :)
