Hello from Ireland
« on: July 02, 2019, 21:25 »
Hello everyone, I'm a new member of this forum, and indeed any forum! I thought it might be nice to try joining one for a change and this seems a good place to start as I am becoming a keen gardener. I'm not an allotmenteer (if that's the term), my hope is to grow food for my family on my home plot. I want to learn as much as I can about plants (that I can eat mainly!) but also do my bit for the ecology of my little acre of land and its environs - not just for the veggie patch - I'd like it to be a little oasis amongst what is largely an agricultural landscape of fields.

Hi there Count Basil, welcome to the site, sounds like a well thought out plan. What part of Ireland are you from, my sister lives in County Down?

"I'd like it to be a little oasis"

Too true in my opinion.

Option 1. Get up and have a coffee then start the day.
Option 2. Get up drive to the allotment and make a coffee.

Option 2 every time. This time of year I can even get back home before the wife wakes up :-)
