As I only grow in the back garden, and space is limited, I'm not sure I can get to 5!! Well, here goes....

1. Strawberries back on form. 17lb from a 4'x4' bed.
2. 5 new tomato varieties successfully grown from seed, with pretty decent yields all round (as long as they all ripen on the window sills!)
3. 40-50 spring onions in Spring from a bargain-bucket onion set I bought last year for 10p and planted in November with very little hope of getting anything.
4. successfully initiated my apple tree espaliers against our fence, with two lovely '+' shapes grown from two sticks!
5. first ever raspberry crop from the canes I planted a couple of years ago - not huge, but not bad

Well... that was easy! A good year then!

First year of proper gardening this year so...
1. Digging first veg patch
2. planting first ever crops
3. Nurturing plot
4. Watching them grow
5. Eating first crops.

Pretty straightforward really.
Cheers

I only grow in limited space in the back garden but this year its been great with...

1 Abundance of yellow and red tomatoes
2 Nearly 10 kgs of potatoes, very tasty
3 3 kgs Nantes Carrots that were a good size
4 Purple Dwarf Beans were outstanding and plentiful
5 Rhubarb came up great for the first year and looks good for next. (It was hard not to pick some)

Looking forward to next year and still hunting for an allotment fingers crossed ;o))

1. My little granddaughter, Summer, arrived in August
2. Vases full of flowers every day of Spring and Summer, and still going.
3. Enough tomatoes for pasta sauce the year, (and we do eat a lot), with enough onions and basil to add as well.
4. Bowls and Bowls of raspberries, and still picking.
5. All the pleasure I get from the allotment field, the views, the produce, the friends, the exercise etc., etc.,
