Potatoe problem!

Potatoe problem!

Had my main crop potatoes stored in a dark cool cabinet been to cheak on them to find they have long white sprouts growing from them about 4"long will they still be ok to plant.?

They are sposed to be cool and in the light!  As they are main crop I would be inclined to knock off the white sprouts and let them chit again :)

Acually ive got the same thing and theyre vivaldi (stuck them under the sink and forgot about them). Same drill?

Mine are in an open box in a north facing bedroom so they get the light, but no sunshine. They are looking good.

Thanx for the reply's. In the past l have allways got my potato's later in the year so l could put them straight in.This year l got them from T&M when l got my raspberry canes call it an impulse buy the cane's  have still yet to arive yet the potato's came at the start of Feburay so l was just trying to to store them thinking they would stay more dorment in the dark last time l think for myself.......And shop with T&M.
