ahhh well done you! I really wanted to try some this year but was too late buying the seed. Gonna give them a go next year - you will have to let us know how they taste!

I grow cucumbers in the greenhouse, they are always very successful and easy peasy to grow...   This year I have tried a couple of and 'outdoor' variety...  They are very, very slow growing compared to my greenhouse ones (stands to reason I guess)   I am looking forward to trying the outdoor ones to compare the taste and texture.
If you have a greenhouse or somewhere indoors to grow them... I think they are DEFINITELY worth growing.

Totally agree Suziet88  :)

My O/H chomps on these things for England, I can't stand the things and have resisted any attempts at growing, believing them too specialist and difficult for amateurs. Well I now have three of them taking over my new greenhouse and another two in a growbag outside .... if all those flowers mature!

Picked and proudly presented the first one yesterday, all 17.7cm of it; variety Alpha Beit, they are short.

This is my first year growing cucumbers successfully.  I have been disappointed in previous years, although I can grow tomatoes etc no problem.

I have a number of different varieties growing in the greenhouse, and have already picked a couple of mini cucumbers from my passandra plant (bought from Focus).  All others are doing nicely, although not terribly tall yet.  2 have small cucumbers almost ready for picking.

Incidently I am also having more success with aubergines and peppers too - fruit on some of the peppers even.
