A mallet and some loud music?

A dachshund.  Though it might dig more than the mole going after it.

Funnily enough, several mole hills have appeared in my fellow gardeners' potato patch.  I have never seen the husband and wife ever since the wife said, at the start of the year,  I could have a plot of land (that's another story) so I never get to see them to ask questions but I noticed yesterday they had driven thin sticks into each hill!

I seemed to have got rid of the moles in my garden by putting thin sticks into the mole hills and putting upturned light plastic pots on top.

As the pots are so light with the slightest gust of wind the pots move. Apparently the vibrations confuse the moles. Seems to have worked for me-it was windy for a few days which may have helped... I left them up for about 3 weeks and there have been no signs of activity a day or two after.

I was very sceptical about this but had nothing to lose as they had started on my lawn.
