Certainly airtight and dry.  I'm not sure about the fridge though.  It might confuse some seeds into thinking they've had their winter (stratification)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I keep all my seeds in a tupperware in the fridge, have done for years, and they seem to do very well like that. I'm still using seeds that are years out of date and always seem to get excellent germination, so I think it must help them to stay good for longer.

Mine sit in a tin in the pantry. Mrs Digger would throw a hissy fit if I put them in the fridge, apart from which they'd take all the fridge up if I put all the peas and beans in there.

I'm on year 7 with some of the brassica seed.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Make sure the seeds are dry in airtight containers and keep them at a stable cool temperature.

I have never known Garden Centres to keep their seed in fridges !  :)

Never known my local garden centre to keep them at a stable cool temp either, it's like an oven in there on a sunny day :)
