Hi,
I have recently found a source of manure, so have so far taken a couple of carloads to the allotment. I am currently storing it in large builders bags.
Does anyone foresee any problems with this? Do I need to give it a lid to keep rain out? Should i make holes at the base of the sack to let air in?

If it's already rotted down it only needs protecting from the elements to avoid the goodness being washed away.

If it isn't rotted down yet the builders bags should have holes in to let some air in, and you should aim to only let enough rain in to keep it all damp rather than waterlogged.

just put a tarp over it, ideally dark to increase heat if un rotted. take a peak every now and then and make sure it hasn't dried out.

be warned if it's on concrete it will weep out and stain if left any length of time.
