For me, it's Wallace and Gromit, Poirot, Inspector Morse.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

'Life on Mars'...!

Absolutely riveting even for the third time, and the final episode is tonight...

If anyone here remembers 'The Prisoner', with Patrick McGoohan, then this is just as good!

Elder Daught also has the entire set of 'Ashes to ashes', and when this blasted 'alert' time is over, she wants to lend it to me - bless...

(She gave me 'Life on Mars' back in the December celebrations...)!

I don't watch DVD, because I don't know how the player works !!  But I record loads of things every day.
Last night I watched Rowan Atkinson in "Maigret".     I did chuckle when he was smoking his pipe, it reminded me of the Barclaycard Ad, when he has got the carpet over his shoulder and it is smouldering away.  I did enjoy him playing this straight role.
I have also been watching a programme about Portmeirrion were the Prisoner was filmed,   never understood it, but enjoyed.
When ads come on TV for boxed sets are they DVD's ?    Mrs B

MB, I would assume they're a collection of DVDs but I get mine via Amazon.

Growster. Many years ago we went to Portmeirion and it was quite a strange but unique experience. I used to watch "The Prisoner" and never got the hang of it but I like Patrick McGoohan who's starred in many films including Columbo.

I was watching a Led Zeppelin concert on my Ipad last night, went to sleep, and Mrs Growster left me to it, so I woke up in pitch darkness near a snoring JRT...

Does that count?

Hi there answering Mrs B’s question regarding “box sets” that refers to watching a whole series of programs through a “streaming service” such as BBC iplayer. I have recently added a ROKU device to my TV which now lets me watch not just iplayer but also Netflix.(generously shared by my daughters account) As I have also signed up for Amazon prime our DVD player is gathering dust I’m afraid.Whilst I like the BBC the enthusiasm for youth programming is turning me off. Although I think it is good value overall I would be going bonkers during Lock down if i was relying totally on their output for entertainment. One thing I have been doing is watching holiday videos on YouTube to make up for the real ones I’m missing. Visited Athens yesterday and had a glass of Ouzo to enhance the experience!!
Keep digging

I remember  collecting Kellogs coupons many years ago  and you sent them off and you got a video back with   the flowerpot men, and programmes of that ilk. Spotty dog on the farm I remember, was there a scarecrow as well? Wasn't  Worsel as he isn't that old.  Auntie will soon correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure.
