Shared equipment?

After our open day we are now flush with cash so we were wondering what to spend it on. Has anyone any experience with shared stuff - like shredders, rotovators etc or is it more trouble than it's worth?

Shared stuff might prove to be a problem when everyone wants to use it on the same day. Depends what it is I guess.

buy a heavy heavy duty front digging rotavator for shared use .and just charge petrol ... honda make a good one thats a toughie

Better to hire out the equipment for cheap rate to cover the servicing and repairs. Our allotment has some kit but only the chosen few get to use it. I did not even now they had equipment for ages.

A little Honda F220 could be used by almost any body and would be big enough for most allotments. But its costly.
