They are beautiful but devastating! I had them for the first time last year and spent hours squishing them and the larvae. Then I discovered Bug Clear Gun! for Fruit & Veg! which is based on a natural insecticide pyrethrum. One quick spay and the beetle/larvae dies.

I'm not a massive fan of sprays but I'll certainly be using this again this year-I have every confidence that they will have over wintered and are ready to infest again!

mm. very tempting. I've read it does bad things to pollinators though.
