This season i vow to.....

1. Discard all weak and struggling seedlings/plants   (I AM NOT A PLANT HOSPITAL)

2. Pot on in a timely fashion ( I WILL NOT LET SEEDLINGS SIT IN MODULES UNTIL ROOTED IN POTTING BENCH)

I will not grow so many I end up selling the plants because I feel guilty of killing them

Keep on top of weeds.

1) Don't buy too many seeds and use up the glut from last year. Says he looking through seed catalogues again tonight .

2) Don't plant any seeds too early. Says he with a greenhouse bursting at the seams .

Nothing like a challenge in life. You win some and lose some.

1) I will not waste space planting spuds.
2) I will not harvest too soon just to make space to plant something else.

1. Tidy up all the old rubbish such as broken glass, mortar and moldy old bricks and take them to the tip.

2. Collect plenty of fres manure so I've got plenty of rotted stuff next season.

If I may please have a third.  ;)
3. Weed the final quarter of my plot so that I can plant on the whole plot next year.

1) thin out my plants - more is not better
2) grow less than 10 squash plants and not leave the squashes in the polytunnel until they start to go icky
My maths shows that bird is equal to or greater than the word...

1. Not get stressed out when bugs/pests eat all of my crops
2. not give the bugs/pests chance to eat all of my crops, time to get out the mesh I think

1)I must water the greenhouse plants earlier in the morning ,before it gets hot and then fill the watering cans in the evening and leave them in the greenhouse to reach `room temp` by the morning.

2)I must work out how to stop my 4 dogs from eating the compost out of all the potted plants........

Only 2 things?I am so badly organised,I have a book filled with `what not to do ` :)

1. Less time on this forum and more time gardening (only joking)
2. Expand growing area to enable me to experiment with different veggies.

1. Keep my shed tidy so I can stop and sit down in it for a cuppa
2. Stop and sit down for a cuppa rather than keep going without a break.  ::)
