Mini Greenhouse
« on: October 25, 2008, 13:44 »
Its not a tip as such, but an idea I had and want to know if it kind of makes sense?

I don't have a greenhouse but want to grow some decent tomatoes. Was thinking about putting a grow bag down with a few 8ft canes at each corner - over that I could drape some polythene and weigh down the edges with stones.

Does it sound feasible?

Cheers
Paul

PLASTIC GREENHOUSE

I think you would be better advised to look for a more rigid structure in increasing order of effectiveness:
1   pallets wired in a square
2   metal shelving or racking fixed together

These can be covered with polythene sheeting with, for example, clothes pegs to hold the sheeting to the structure.

Shelves across to hold blue plastic trays act as good "seed starters" and make good use of the height.
