Did you see in the press about them (starbucks) wasting water by leaving taps running all day

Yes the running water business is absolutely mad. Radio Five Live  interviewed a senior environmental heath officer who confirmed that it was mad and totally unnecessary.

has anyone had the used coffee grinds from starbucks?

My friend at work told me about them and that they were free....I thought she'd got it wrong...but she brought me a bag in the other day at work....they smell heavenly....They will be ok to mix in with my newspaper shreds and chicken waste etc in the compost bin??

trudi

i get bags form the starbucks in manchester, they are always happy to give me them, and usually will prepare the bags for you if they dont already have some made up, they're about the size of a large bag of flour

i throw it on my compost and if nothing else it smells great
