Clearing an overgrown allotment plot organically?

If you want to grow in beds just have level ones there is no need to raise them as others have said. My plot is devided mainly into 4' beds with 2' paths. you can work on one bed at a time which feels more satisfying. I cleared a 10 pole plot full of twitch between last October and May and i'm a week and feeble woman just with a ladies fork and wheel barrow.
