First Egg Arrived Today
« on: January 23, 2007, 23:23 »
Hi all,

Keep checking the forum, but havent' had much to talk about since you all helped me when Thelma and Louise arrived and I was worried about them not going into the coop. Anyway, I persevered (stuck with it, if that's spelt wrong) and just had to let you all know, my first egg came today. Not huge, but oh so tasty.

Me and hubby shared it, soft boiled, with soldiers. It was yummy. Can't express how elated I was. (I keep telling hubby he should feel lucky, I'm not high maintenance, no shoes or handbags for me. A couple of eggs a day and I'm more than happy).

Thanks for all your help. I will no doubt be quizzing you all again soon.

Kerry, Thelma and Louise. (Photo in my gallery if anyone wants to see the empty shell) !!

very apt egg cup too - where did you get it?
Gardening organically on chalky, stony soil.

I got it off ebay. Everyone said the best way to have my first egg was soft boiled, then I realised I hadn't got an egg cup. Went a bit mad really and got some lovely quirky ones !!
