I am having a problem in getting my rotavotor to start after winter.I cannot see any spark which is why it won't start although there may be other porblems as well but in my thinging unless I get a sprark nothing is going to happen.I have read previous messages about points and petrol but not sure about the points.If I manaually turn the flywhell with a resistance meter attached to the wire which shout go to the stop switch I can measure between a short circuit and about 5000 ohms so is this correct.
I have some pictures but need to shrink them in size.
Any suggestions welcomed.

couldn't tell you about the resistance, maybe either Mr tallentire or Dorimower can.
Sounds like you need to clean the points.
