Title: comfrey
Post by: HilaryG on July 06, 2009, 22:52
I've just read the article about the wonders of comfrey and how to make comfrey liquid fertilizer. To avoid the horrendous smell just put all your comfrey into a plastic dustbin with a hole drilled in the base, NO liquid! Raise it up on bricks and angle it slightly so you can fit a plastic container under the hole. Leave in a sunny spot and Hey Presto :) out comes black magic liquid. I dilute it about an egg cup to a medium-sized w.can. I put it on everything, haven't bought any shop stuff for ages.

You can do a similar thing with plastic bottles but I'm sure a dustbin is better. Cheers. Mind you I love the smell of Comfrey Tea in the morning.

great stuff, isn't it? I have 3 comfrey stills on the go permanently through the season. Everything gets fed with it - the courgettes and cabbages love it the best  :)
