That'll be the "Low-Cal" variety then?!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Im growing my potatoes using the straw and grass method and today dug up what I thought was a perfectly shaped, white potato.
Turns out that a bird has built a nest in amongst the straw and grass and the potato was an egg!!!!
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

Sorry mate that's pathetic lol (laughing in a friendly way) what variety were they? There must be some other factors that have contributed to the low return.

My spuds are not doing too well this year either. I'm getting some nice spuds, but they're later, smaller and there's less of them.

I normally grow 10 rows but ths year because of the 'drought' I planted an extra 3 rows.
Today I was listening to a discussion on possible potato crop failure because they are rotting in the field.
So it seems I got it after all!!
