I have just picked 3rd one, very pleased, they have been about 16" long and very straight.  I still think I am doing something wrong though, because none of them have had those very tight fitting polythene wrappers round them   !!!!!!  :lol:  :lol: Mrs Bouquet

You could try putting a small balloon, or similar,  :safe:  :oops: over the young fruit & letting it grow inside it!

I'm on No. 31 of my "Carmen".
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Ha ha good one Mrs B, I have a sense of humour too!
But I am a bit slow at typing a reply!

I had 3 cucumber plants - 2 have already died and one has produced 2 pathetic cucumbers and looks on the way to the compost heap!
