I've got runners on my first year plants already, should I cut them off now. These plants were created from runners last year. Help please !

Yes, cut them off - they need to be concentrating on producing fruit (some recommend removing the flowers too on first year plants to help them bulk up, although I do wonder how many people actually follow that particular piece of advice!  ;))
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!
