About time too!

There's only a certain amount of heat needed at this time of year - some veg are struggling, at a time when they should be getting a bit of TLC, instead of 80 degrees and no let-up.

Locals have been telling me that runners are just not getting going quickly, and our rows are sulking too! At least I can water stuff at home, but allotments may be a 'bridge too far' for many folk, and a daily visit may not be possible!

I've just been obsessively checking various recommended weather sites (metcheck, met office, netweather.tv, weather channgel, xc weather) and, depending on which site I look at, the predicted low for our area on Friday night could be anywhere between 8 to 3 degrees!  Which isn't much help, really.
Not sure how easily I can rig up some fleece round my toms, beans, courgettes - particularly as it will be very windy as well. Can't believe that we might get some frost in suburban London in June! At least I've held back on planting out the squash & sweetcorn, so they can go back in the greenhouse for safety.

Weather is pretty poor down here as well.  Stormy and cool.. only about 15C on Monday we have had a little rain which was welcomed.
