Sown first tea bag this morning!  Kids didn't seem that impressed, but I'm looking forward to the results.

Do you cut a hole in the top to put the seed in?

I've got three tea-lettuce-gardens on the windowsill right now.  :D Just waiting for germination!

I passed this tip on to my hubby but he pointed out if his mother tried it we would never find her in the lettuce jungle.  She drinks more tea than I thought humanly possible.

That's a neat trick, hope your wife doesn't read the forum

Not all tea bags compost fully so I'd be worried that the roots of the plant couldn't grow through to the soil - have you encountered this problem?

Then there's the question of what size tea-bags. They differ considerably from one brand to another.

Tea-leaves are great for camellias...   ;)
The tea bush is of the camelia family so I learnt at The Eden Project/
To err is human, to arr is pirate

What a neat tip - shall try it right away.....well as soon as the tea-bag cools down then.

But shall I use pyramid type bags or flat ones - perhaps both. ::)
