Mash here as well and spoon standing.  There will be pork loin steaks and veg to go with them, but the mash and gravy are the main event for me  :D

As a special treat I bought a charlie bigham jalfrezi (it was half price)  - not impressed.  It's tiny, comes in some sort of ?bamboo? containers and can't be nuked. It better taste spectacular !

edit :
Okay - it wasn't bad. There was a very reasonable amount of chicken in there although the sauce was very mild, bordering on floral.  Fair value at half price and definitely better than the usual supermarket offerings but they're having a laugh wanting nearly a tenner for it normally.

It's Friday and that sounds like a good idea to me - There's handful of oven chips left which will finish off the bag. I might have to put a spoon of baked beans with it though.

We usually have fish on a Friday but as we always have fish on Christmas Eve we've had to find something else.  Lamb chops and chips are apparently on the menu,  baked beans were on the menu but as I've already had them this week were cancelled.

Gastro fish with lemon/pepper breadcrumbs, coleslaw and a small jacket spud, lots of chilli mayo was also involved.

Put some chicken legs in the slow cooker just as is as they're on the use by date. Might shred and then spice them up or finish them up in a hot oven and make into a chicken dinner.

Chicken dinner here as well.

Got chicken breasts on the bone to roast, but we are having a full roast tomorrow so I found a couple of big spuds in the shed for baked potatoes to go with them.

I might just go with coleslaw and salad as sides as I have both and there would be minimal effort involved. Opening the oven door and chucking stuff in is about as much as I want to do tonight

Same here, got a HM steak pie portion defrosting, will cook with some oven-chips and there's a pile of salad bits in the fridge. Sorted!

Sounds like were all fed up up with getting meals, it's a shame we have to eat  I think all kids should learn to cook even boys, shame my hubby never learnt  :)

Pate with Melba toast to start then poached salmon, sauteed potatoes, carrots and green beans.  Lemon mousse for afters if anyone can be bothered.  Mousse is courtesy  of M & S, it comes in a jar and you just whip it into some double cream so is a handy thing to have in the cupboard.

I have put the s prouts on to cook this evening ready for tomorrow. ;) :D :D
