I've been Passata bottling this afternoon, so making a small Penne Bolognese with the bit left after filling as many jars as I could. Small bowl of salad bits to go with it.

Found a 1/4 lb burger in the freezer, so with springs, toms, gherks etc, it'll fill a gap left from the Ploughman's we had at lunchtime...

Then an hour with 'Hustle' on DVD - fourth series!

Pasta night here as well. 

I’ve been pulling netting off an old fruit cage with a view to giving it a full weed out and a re-cover, plus shifting mulch around on the plot, so a fast and easy fix of a seafood pasta mix and some spag.

Shopping delivered yesterday, nice bit of lambs liver but no cabbage    Have to make do with some carrots. Mash and onion gravy as always.

As it's coldish again today, I'm gonna try a boil in the bag lamb-shank I got from 'the usual' frozen food shop.
Cabbage, carrots and mash with it. Looks as if there's enough gravy in the bag so I won't have to make any.

We have roast leg of lamb.  I found it in my freezer defrost and it is best before the beginning of October, so we can eat that up now over several days.

I think I bought it for Easter, then got waylaid and never cooked it.  I’ve seen it in the freezer of course, but hadn’t really registered how long it had been kicking about 

In my freezer it would probably been there a couple of years.    Any food frozen or not, if it looks ok and smells ok, I eat it, Mrs Bouquet.

I do as well Mrs B, but it seemed a waste to spend out on a joint like that and let it go past its date.

It was a best before as is the case with most frozen meat, so it would be safe to eat for a while longer, but the quality deteriorates over time

Homemade mince meat pasties new pots and a few veg from garden, Blackberry and Apple sponge left over from weekend with yoghurt

Roast chicken and all the trimmings.  Pear and ginger crumble with vustard.

Just quick plain scones - couldn't find any sultanas. I know they're in the cupboard somewhere, but no, they were hiding
