No fish to go with the Friday chips, there is however a Cornish pasty. Probably put some mushies with it or a few beans.

I've got seedy bread dough rising and in the slow cooker there's a load of fresh and dried vegetables, for a nice thick soup. Not sure whether to spice it up, or leave it fairly plain...

Bitza pie 

I defrosted the freezer the other day and found a few odds and ends, so thick veg and tomato base with chopped cooked cold meat, plus a mash top with cheese in it.  It looks and smells very nice cooking for an assembly of bits

Two huge slow cookers full of 'Dublin Coddle'm which my husband loves.  He's just had some for his tea and there's another ten portions waiting to cool and go into the freezer, ready for those CBA days. Fortunately he doesn't mind veggie sausages, so I can make it with those and then I can have some too.

Steak, hm croquette potatoes, fried egg for himself, mushroom sauce for me, steamed runner beans & sliced fresh tomatoes.

Thought I should eat something green today - so the last of the cabbage some spuds and a little bit of what I think was stewing steak I'd frozen for a pie.

We have roast leg of lamb.  I found it in my freezer defrost and it is best before the beginning of October, so we can eat that up now over several days.

I think I bought it for Easter, then got waylaid and never cooked it.  I’ve seen it in the freezer of course, but hadn’t really registered how long it had been kicking about
