Chicken keiv and spicy veg rice. I should really also make an effort to do a large cauli/broc cheese for the next few days.

Mrs Pea, that's exactly what we've just had for pud.  Ran out of ice cream, much to hubby's disgust, so the usual banana split is off the menu, but I had a few raspberries from the plot this morning and I'd already got a melon, so we were sorted.

CBA fairy was trying her best, but I told her to beggar off for long enough to put oven chips in the small top oven, and will fry an egg and warm some beans to go with them  ::)

Prawn pasta sauce thingy we sell at work.  You heat it from frozen and dump almost cooked pasta in it to soak the sauce up.  Not at all bad, but not many prawns.  It flavoured the pasta well and took no time or effort so Ok by me  :)

I have veggie rice left, the plan is to stare aimlessly into the fridge hoping something will suggest itself to go with it, then give up and just eat the rice.  ::)

You need to kick that CBA fairy out, before she takes up permanent residence  :nowink:

Perhaps stir fried courgette and a few other veggies?   Not that you're probably sick of courgettes. At this time of the year they go into anything and everything.

Burgers here as well, but made a big bowl of potato salad with plot spuds and another big bowl of coleslaw with plot cabbage to go with ours.

That’s my survival technique for a run of hot days. Make huge salads and then dip into them, just adding 1 quick cook item, maximum 1 pan rule

I've got pork strips defrosting, so a stir-fry is on the cards, think I'll give the rice a miss, just cook a huge panful of plot veggies  :D

Thought I would share this as it is a tasty, healthy and money saving idea  :D

I had a punnet of normal white mushrooms that needed using up, so chopped them up fine and mixed them into the mince for the burgers, together with an egg and the usual seasoning.

The mushrooms bulked out the mince so it went much further,  they stopped the burgers going dry while they cooked right through and they still tasted like good meaty burgers.  There was a bit of water that came out when they were cooking, but it soon dried out and they browned as usual.  OH was fooled, wolfed them and said how great they were.  All in all a win  :)

No homegrown anything this year to get sick of  :(  The CBA fairy has most certainly outstayed her welcome though.
The meal plan calls for oven chips, but there's no way I'm going to put the oven on this evening. I'll be nuking a spud. It would be nice to make a chilli to put in it but I have a busy day of doing nothing planned.

Chilli going in the slow cooker this morning, the bit of rice that's left will do, I can always nuke another spud if needed.
