Cold roast chicken with roasted fennel salad and potato salad.  All veg from the plot.  Any cooking was done first thing before the heat built up too much.

I also roasted beetroot while I was at it so that is all ready for tomorrow  :)

Beef mince defrosting - I should make a couple of cottage pies and the spud have already started to sprout but it's likely to end up as chilli.

Cubed up spuds are quite nice in a chilli.  They can take the place of beans or be an addition.

Just parboil for a few minutes until half cooked, then chuck them in to soak up some sauce.

It’s not authentic but it is tasty. If you like the way potatoes go when cooked in curry, you’ll like this  :)

It wasn't overly hot so I made a large cottage pie. There should be enough for a few days, especially as I just don't feel like eating tonight. It had nothing do with the fact the slow cooker still has pork fat in and would have needed to be scrubbed.

After your suggestion I checked the cupboard and I have a packet mix (I know - but it's worth a try) for Bombay Pots that I'd been meaning to use, so that'll see off a few more of the spuds tomorrow.

Here it was a gammon steak with stir fry plot veg with a chilli sauce. The gammon was a bit too salty for my liking, though  ::) Now I can't stop drinking, water not vino collapso

There was a bit of sad lonely mince left, made pasta bake with it and I'll save the cottage pie for another day.

I couldn’t get curried potatoes out of my mind, so as it was a bit cooler tonight, we had potato and courgette curry with rice  :)

We had curry left over from Thursday, so I browned some chopped up chicken with spices and then added  the leftover curry to re-invent it as a new dish.  Rice and a tomato and onion salad to go with it  :)

Finished off the cottage pie yesterday lunch time, not really enough for a meal and found myself nuking a rather bland and boring chicken balti from MS very late last night to due to a bad case of curry munchies.  I think we all know who's fault that was. :nowink:

The oven need to go on later for some breaded chicken, carbs to be decided but as the oven will be on anyway I might bung some oven chips in
