OH was late back and wanted Indian takeaway and a beer.

I had chicken shashlick which is a kebab of spiced chicken chunks, pepper, onion and tomato plus some sag rice.

M&S veggie casserole and herb dumplings. They were on special before anyone panics that I've lost my senses and taken to buying ready meals.  :nowink:

I had planned on putting something extra with it, but CBA. To be honest it wasn't bad - bit like a good quality thick chunky veggie soup and the dumplings provided a bit of extra bulk, I was pleasantly surprised, not worth full retail but I'd consider buying it again

Stig & Katy came for dinner yesterday, I'd managed to snaffle a good-sized joint of beef from the Co op a few weeks ago, so defrosted and cooked that with roasties, Yorkshires, cauli cheese and sugarsnaps.
Leftovers today, for me, the rest of the beef in a curry for the freezer  :D
Waste not, want not  :D

Chicken stir-fry with rice.  I had peppers and spring onions in the fridge that needed using up, plus mangetout peas and greens from the plot, so the menu wrote itself.

Something with a chicken steak  No spuds large enough to nuke though so it will probably have to be some sort of spicy rice.  Broccoli is the only veg I can think of to make up the green part.

Boneless, skinless chicken thighs from M &S, but they were incredibly greasy, with wedges, green salad, tomatoes & balsamic & a coleslaw made with kohl rabi, carrot & apple.

Thanks to chums here explaining what it is all about, it was a remoulade with raw julienned green and yellow courgettes and fresh peas with several slivers of parmesan and garlic mayo...

Worked well too!

Leftovers - chicken and rice. Will need to fish out some more cauli/broc from the mixed veg again  :nowink: It will just be a bag of sliced carrots shortly.

Tomato egg drop curry and rice.  It is a tomato curry base you crack eggs into, cover and cook for 5 minutes, so curry in a hurry  :D

Thought Id try a pukka pie, I expect to be underwhelmed   ::) a few oven chips, peas and corn if I can be bothered mushy peas if I can't.  Odd that mushy peas feels like junk food but boiled peas don't.
