I said I'd make some batter for pancakes but was told 'there are some in the freezer' so didn't bother.  When  he went  to get them out, they couldn't be found so we will be having our tomorrow. I know Lent starts tomorrow but we've never followed it.

I'm out of pasta and rice so it's back to spuds tonight.  Probably nuked with some spag bol sauce and covered in cheese - everything tastes better with cheese.

I've got pork shoulder steaks, red pepper, chilli, cannellini beans, garlic, onions and carrots in the slow cooker.
I haven't decided between flat bread or rice with it yet, though....

I’d got a large piece of pork loin 1/2 price at the weekend so thought I’d better use it today so I cut it in half & one half is roasting, the other half I sliced into 4 pieces & they’ve gone in the freezer, not bad for £8 =8 meals.
So roast potatoes, stuffing, apple sauce, peas, carrots, broccoli & baked leeks & gravy of course

Bangers, mash, fried onions and baked beans, comfort food.   Due to the workmen outside the shop we've only had three customers and taken the grand total of £14.48!  They've now finished our section so at least we can park again on our property but all public parking spaces are blocked off. Paul's Dad wants to order stuff but we keep trying to explain to him that it can't be delivered unless we totally  block the road.

More of the same today with allotment sprouts (donated by a neighbour) and mashed Sarpo Mira from the last garden bucket.

Alexa tells me its Friday, so I'm raiding the oven chips. Fridge gravel to go with them any space left on the plate will have some beans. Must do some shopping next week.
