Plot leeks wrapped in bacon and fried off a bit to add some colour. Then planning to put in a dish, cover with cheese sauce, plus extra cheese on top and put in the oven for a bit.

Leeks, bacon and melty cheese - I cannot go wrong with that one   :D

I reckon some thick crusty bread is all the extras it will need  ;)

Left over roast lamb, r.pots, parsnips, peppers & celery, mashed swede & carrots, broccoli & maybe peas if hubby cooks them as he’s doing dinner, gravy & gooseberry jelly. That should do the trick as it’s freezing outside & I've not been warm all day

Cottage pie , mixed veg and spoonstanding. I need to sort my menus and meal plans out- I had to buy the next waist size up for the first time in over 30 years last week.   I'm getting soft and doughy.

Try some of the Pinch of Nom recipes, all lower calorie but usually really good, know prep time is an issue for you but you can batch cook most of them, might inspire you as well  ;)

Time isn't an issue anymore :( which I suspect is part of the problem. Too much grazing on peanut butter, nutella and apple crumble, eating enough carbs to sink a battle ship each meal probably doesn't help either  ::)  :nowink:

I recognise that routine, I had to start low-carbing to loose the extra weight. Now I graze on sliced ham, cheese, tinned tuna and eggs.
If it really has to be sweet, to kill the craving, then I stir stevia/sweetener into full fat cottage cheese or Greek yogurt. Sometimes I add a couple of berries, walnuts or raisins just so it looks pretty
It seems strange, but it does work, as protein keeps you feeling fuller for longer, via different satiety hormones produced in response to protein.
I admit it's not the cheapest of options, though......

Finished off the cottage pie mixed veg and spoonstanding yesterday.

I'm considering sausage and bean casserole today as I can just chuck it all in the slow cooker but I can't say for sure it wont end up as sausage mash and mixed veg covered in onion gravy.  I think I need to eat more from the green food group.

Slow cooker gets today's and probably tomorrows vote  :nowink:
